You had dragged the shirt inside of the wooden box and waited for Gilbert’s return. He had went off to retrieve that soccer ball of his, scared that some human would find it and take it; which was very likely to eventually happen. So you rolled around the floor, snuggling against the t-shirt that you got for Gilbert since you got bored quite quickly. Who knew Gilbert was that much of an entertainment center.

You paused for a second, twitching your ear trying to hear any unusual sounds but found nothing. You sniffed the air, nothing seemingly out of the ordinary. You pushed yourself up and looked outside, the sun was starting to set. ’Gilbert better get back here before nightfall…I’m an idiot, I bet he got lost.’ You sighed and walked out, he most likely got lost or he’s taking his sweet time getting back here. It had to have been almost an hour since he left; that is more than enough time to go and come back with that ball, unless some kid took it. Great.

You groaned as you walked around, taking everything in so you knew exactly where you were going to stay tonight. When you got that mental picture stuck in your mind you headed off toward the direction of the park.

After a good 15 minutes of speed walking you found yourself at the park and started looking around to where that white fur ball went. But sadly, he wasn’t there. And seeing a white fur ball isn’t that hard to miss in a green park. After looking everywhere in a total of 5 minutes of quick looking and observing you concluded he nor was his soccer ball here.

Turning, you tailed back where you stopped every now and then to see if Gilbert was anywhere. You were starting to get aggravated, ‘Note to self, never let Gilbert go off on his own.’ Sighing again you sniffed the air, trying to find the scent of Gilbert but what you found was not assuring at all.

Dog scents is what you smelt. You literally froze as you sniffed again, hoping your sense of smell was deceiving you, nope, that was dog scents alright, and they were fresh as well. Upon further analysis you knew this dog wasn’t a pet, the smell was too dirty for that, so it had to be a wild stray. You let out a shiver; wild dogs were dangerous, especially to cats. They’d literally ripe a cat to pieces if the stray dog was wild enough to do so, or violent enough, and you didn’t feel like dying today.

You had to be careful now; you walked cautiously as you padded your way back to the shelter. Your thoughts wondering off to the fact of if Gilbert had run off, fearing the scent of dog in the air or was being chased by the dog. As you walked back to the shelter you kept your senses on high alert, you didn’t want to chance it. But as you walked closer to your destination you noticed the smell of the dog getting strong, you narrowed your (eye color) eyes in frustration. You’d have to find another way, but before you turned around to look for another way to find the wooden box a gust of wind blew at you. That smell, your eyes shot open and looked upward. The dog was closer then you had suspected, thanks to the wind you were able to fully smell out how close the dog was to you. But sadly, it was too late. The dog was just ahead of you, hidden in the bushes and shaded by the trees. And to top that off, the dog had already noticed you.

You had to get away, now. You turned and sprinted away with the speed of lightning, running was always your specialty, and the speed that you held was great for many things. Now you were running to save your life; you very well knew that you could never over power a dog, let alone a full-grown German shepherd. Yes, in the two seconds that you saw the dog you knew right away with great observing skills that this dog was a stray, powerful, fast, a German shepherd, vicious, and just plain out to kill you.

Man, you hated dogs, or at least those wild, blood-thirsty, stray dogs. The males are always the worst; they have such joy in beating cats to a pulp or even killing them. Their vicious natures are nearly impossible for a cat to fight off, so a cat must run. It has been that way for centuries. And you hated it.

You didn’t have to turn your head to know that the dog was chasing after you, the rough running sounds behind you was enough to tell you something was running after you. You peaked behind you for a split second, yup, that dog was chasing after you and did he look like he was having fun. ‘Hate them, I hate them all! Those ruthless dogs! They have no conscious!’ Negative thoughts about dogs ran through your mind as you ran, you hated running but it was all you could do. Running away was all you could ever do; you never had the strength to win a fight with just claws and teeth.

You sprinted as fast as you can until you took a wrong turn, since you had just got to this city you barely knew the streets, making you end up in a dead end. You turned but it was too late, the huge German shepherd was in front of you, blocking your only path out. Hissing was what you did next, now that you aren’t able to run the only option is to fight and hope for a miracle. But before you attacked you tried to jump over the dog, sadly the dog was quick enough to move backwards and keep you cornered. Fighting was officially the only option.

You unsheathed your claws and hiss viciously as the brutal dog barked multiple times at you, in the most mocking of ways. Even though cats and dogs aren’t able to understand the other, anyone of any species could still hear the emotion in the voice. And this dog’s voice was obviously filled with mocking emotions directed towards you.

You waited for the dog to attack first, and seeing that the dog was eager to rip you to pieces he easily obliged to make the first move. He dove at you with his teeth bare, you moved to the side a bit before clawing his side as he went past you. He barely yelped let alone wince and turned and snapped at your tail. You let out a terrible and painful screech as he bit into your precious tail and your instincts took over. You clawed his face multiple times until he let go and you stumbled backwards hissing as the throbbing pain started to spread from your tail to your spine. Your tail was bleeding making you worry, without a proper cat’s tail a cat wouldn’t be able to have good balance and that would affect your running and escape skill greatly.

You didn’t want anymore injuries done to you so you turned and tried to make another run for it, but the dog was already ready for you to run and jumped onto you with a toothy-like grin. His deep dark eyes glowing evilly as a deadly growl erupted in his throat as you struggled to get away. But with his huge paw on your back you couldn’t do much but stretch out on the ground and wait for death. But you being the fighter you are you struggled and wiggled some more before hissing again as he used his back hind-paw to step on your already wounded tail.

Seeing your pain and how defenseless you seemed the dog gave a dark bark filled with cruel joy before bringing his mouth full of bloodied teeth that was your own blood to your neck, ready to give the final bite to your death.

As you felt the shape teeth surround your neck you shut your eyes awaiting the death you never wanted to happen. Though not a split second later did you feel the shape teeth no where near your fur or the paw on your spine. You opened your (eye color) eyes and turned your head. And there, in the corner of that alley way, was an angry-looking Gilbert clinging and biting into the neck of the dog as the dog wildly trashed around in attempt to get the white tom off his back. The thought came a second later; Gilbert had just saved your life.
Yeah, sorry it took so long to get this up, but with writer's block and stupid honors homework that my honors teacher didn't even bother to ask for kept me from writing. But now I'm getting into writing again so look forward to seeing more chapters in this story and 2p!America x Reader: I Don't Fear Death. I really am sorry for the long wait, I know how it feels to wait a long while for the writer to put up the next story. Oh, and spring break is next week so you know what that means~ more time for writing!!!! I might be able to put up 2 chapters a day during spring break, it's amazing~!

Okay, time to talk about the story. Well, one, this is the action chapter, this and the next one. Yeah, I got nothing against dogs, I love them a lot, but I needed a villian and a German shepherd was the only thing that came to mind at the moment. But man, vicious dog, and poor reader-chan's tail! She needs her tail! And yeah! Go Gilbert! Take Alfred's place and be the hero!

Hope you liked, comment too if you like~!
